With the scare we had over losing our computer and all of its contents, we decided to invest in an external hard drive to protect our precious memories. While backing everything up, I came across lots of pictures that brought back lots of memories, and I wanted to share some of them. Some of them you may have seen, and some of them you may not have, but they are all very special to me in some way or another.
...you can't tell, but they are wearing matching Valentine's Day shirts. This is unedited - it's so sweet I didn't want to change it.
...my honey and me during a much-needed date night.
...Santa looks almost as alarmed as Mary Wade.
...it's so nice to have a wonderful Daddy to lean on..jpg)
...my baby Mary, just before she turned 1 year old.
...Mary after one of her shorter haircuts.
...I love this because she looks so happy.
...my very brave Emma, who wasn't expecting this snake to be quite so heavy.
...one of my all-time favorites.
...Emma, sporting all of her Hannah Montana garb, and Mary looking at Emma like she IS Hannah Montana.
...they're cute AND they have great taste in fashion.
...Mary loves bubbles. Enough said....this might be my favorite picture of Mary. I love it because her mouth looks like a little heart when she smiles like this.
...I love how happy she looks. She really WEARS her smile.
...one of my very favorite pictures of Emma and BoBo.
...this literally is Wade's and my favorite picture of the girls, ever....I hope she's always this excited on Christmas morning.

Emma's First Official "School Picture"
We got Emma's fall Kindergarten pictures back today. We had pretty high expectations, what with these gorgeous (and very un-school-picture-like) photos. Of course, we had to pay in advance, so now we have 2 8x10s, 4 5x7s, and 85,000 wallets of this face:

Back At It
So, here's the deal. Last month, my sweet precious perfect little pumpkin Mary Wade spilled chocolate milk on our computer. I used our old computer to post a couple of entries on our blog, but they didn't format right, so I quit trying. But tonight, I have a new MacBook, and I'm back in the game.
I took this picture of the girls on Saturday while we were eating lunch at the Big Chicken (or as Mary calls it, the Big Neck-Neck). It might be one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken of my angels, but I had to convert it to black and white so it wasn't glaringly obvious that it was taken at KFC.

Beautiful Mary Wade
Today I took some of the sweetest pictures of Mary that I couldn't wait to share. She's such a pumpkin and I think these really show her sweet little personality!.jpg)

Roll Tide!
Never let it be said that Wade and I are not good parents. We may not always abide by the "Five Second Rule," we may let them watch a little too much television, and SOMETIMES we might have brownies for supper, rather than for dessert. But, we're raising our girls with good values, and a strong sense of what is important in life. They hate orange, and they believe an elephant says "Roll Tide!" As a matter of fact, I think we deserve a nomination for Parents Of The Year.

Lynnville, Tennessee
This past weekend, Wade and I had big plans to meet some dear friends of ours in New Orleans for a nice long Labor Day vacation with NO KIDS. Needless to say, if I NEVER hear the name Gustav again, it will be too soon.
Wade's parents were going to keep the girls while we were gone, so we all loaded up and headed to Franklin. As always, we had a wonderful time!
On Saturday, we took the girls to Lynnville, Tennessee, a beautiful little town just south of Franklin. We played on an old train, met a precious little schnauzer named Bridget (who was VERY tolerant of Mary hugging and kissing all over her), and ate at a neat little diner, complete with its own player piano that the girls loved.

Mary And BoBo
When Mary wakes up in the morning, she has to have a little snuggle time with Samson before she will start her day. This morning he was on our bed, so she crawled up beside him to give him his morning dose of loving. I couldn't believe how happy Samson seemed, just laying there in the sun with his Mary. Thank goodness I had enough time to grab my camera because it was the sweetest thing I've ever seen!

Mary At Mother's Morning Out
Mary started MMO last Tuesday - PRAISE THE LORD. She is doing pretty well and will now walk into class on her own (as opposed to being pried from my arms sobbing her eyes out). Here are some pictures from the Open House we attended the week before school started, and also some from her first day (where she insisted on posing with Samson). The last one is from today of her and new friend that she made in her class. One of my favorite pictures EVER is the one of her eating and Samson hanging over her like he hasn't had a meal in a year. He's such a mooch!
I still have not figured out how to configure captions with the pictures. Our "new" computer is being worked on, and since I've been using our old one I haven't been able to get the blog laid out the way I want it. That's also why I haven't posted much in the last week or so, but I'm trying to catch up!.jpg)

Emma's First Day of Dance
Tuesday was Emma's first day back at ballet class. She was SO excited to see her teacher again and get ready for another recital (read: very fancy costume). And, if you think she wasn't the cutest and best dressed little girl in the class, well, you'd be wrong.
