Neglected

My poor little blog - I promise I have not abandoned it! I have just been having an affair with Facebook, and everything else in my life is suffering because of it. I need help - counseling, an intervention, something.
So this morning was an interesting morning at our bus stop. Emma adores everything about riding the bus. She loves seeing her friends at the bus stop, she loves sitting with them on the bus, and she loves her bus driver, Ms. Julie. This morning as we walked up to the bus, I noticed a substitute bus driver. Emma and I had already kissed goodbye, and she took off towards the bus. She made it about halfway when she realized that Ms. Julie was NOT driving the bus this morning, but a giant woman (who was rather mannish, in my opinion) was driving. Emma IMMEDIATELY did a U-turn and came running back to me, crying and begging me not to make her get on the bus. The bus driver even opened her window to try to soothe Emma, but Emma wasn't about to get on that bus. I was baffled - this was not the first time Ms. Julie had someone fill in for her, and this substitute had driven Emma's bus 2 or 3 other times this year, but today was different.
Wade and I talked it over once Emma was in school for the morning, and we decided it probably had something to do with the Stranger Safety DVD that she watched 85,000 times over the weekend. I believe she may need a little clarification in the "good stranger vs. bad stranger" department though.
